Photo(s) of the Day

Wade at Cycletips posted a simple picture on his blog one day this week to provide a nice couple of minutes of escapism for his readers. I thought this was a great concept. He was nice enough to post one of my pictures later in the week. I thought I'd follow up by posting a simple picture (OK maybe two) for some Friday escapism for your day at work. Happy Bike to Work Day!

Two of my favorites! Just kinda makes you want to get out on the bike!

I love both of these shots! Thing One is doing exactly what I feel like doing when I'm on my bike. Except someone would probably lock me up somewhere if I did that so I usually keep at least one hand on the bars. If I did that it would probably look more like a cry for help.

I especially like the 2nd picture. Riding through the woods, road curving around so you don't know what you'll see around the bend. Adventure!

They're both great shots. The 2nd one looks like a bathroom break photo, with the bike laying in the brush waiting on its rider to finish.

I agree, I saw that 2nd picture and immediate thought "Bathroom Break!" Though in Pennsylvania, we normally do that in cornfields.

Note to self - Must take some great pics to put on my blog...we seriously have some great scenery here in country Australia and so many people put fantastic pics on their blogs....

331 and Lizzylou - I never thought of the second picture as looking like someone had wandered off into the bushes for a nature break but now that you mention it that is what it looks like. I think the next time i just post a picture I'll let everyone put a caption on it. That could be fun.

Buttsy - You should snap some pictures of Australia and post them. I'd love to see what Australia really looks like from the saddle of a bike. They make cameras small enough now that they fit perfectly in a pocket of your jersey.

Love your "bike in the field of tulips" shot on Wade's blog. Well done!
