I don't worry too much about the cleanliness of the bike, but I do for the chain, cogs, and derailleurs.<br />Here's a trick for the chain: make sure to clean it before lubricating it. Lubing a dirty chain can wash particles into the rollers. Also, replace the chain every 2500 miles or so to avoid replacing the rear cassette. I had to replace the cassette and chain because I waited too long.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15198328101316933632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5892520299535636943.post-49399039588674058922009-04-13T11:58:00.000-07:002009-04-13T11:58:00.000-07:00I'm wondering what you were doing mowing the lawn....I'm wondering what you were doing mowing the lawn. Sounds like a good deal.jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16607447339333426583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5892520299535636943.post-47383899546842956982009-04-13T06:30:00.000-07:002009-04-13T06:30:00.000-07:00Oh yes, sunglasses would have been a good idea. No...Oh yes, sunglasses would have been a good idea. Now don't be thinking that I don't take care of my bike here. It's just that I have Bike Boy living at my house so I can worry about other things like making him a sammich.Jenny-Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17911141028866225050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5892520299535636943.post-5056121351776735982009-04-13T04:14:00.000-07:002009-04-13T04:14:00.000-07:00I was waiting with my sunglasses on to see how goo...I was waiting with my sunglasses on to see how good Jenny's bike looked! I'll be using Buttsy's technique soon too as most of my bike is white, especially the parts that are lowest to the ground.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00189533837759965308noreply@blogger.com
